Accessing my PC from the network, HELP PLZ?

My PC and my sister’s laptop is on a wifi network. There are other PC also in the same network. We all are in the same workgroup. I want my shared files to be accessed by only my sister’s laptop. In other words, I want a username and password box to appear when someone clicks my PC’s name from the My Network Places. This way only my sister will be able to access my PC.

I tried myself by going to management console>Group Policy>Computer Configuration>Windows Settings>Security Settings>Local Policies>User Rights Assignment. There was an option ‘Access this computer from the network’.
But when I removed all other PCs and usernames from there and added my laptop’s name there, it showed an error “Failed to save Local Policy Database”.
What should I do?? Is there any other way to do wat i want??? Plz Help!!!!
I see that u ppl r not able to unsrstnd my prob. So here I make it more clear.
I just want a username password box to appear whenever a computer on my network tries to access my PC. So that noone without my computer’s username and password can access my shared files.

Hit F1 on your keyboard when your in windows to bring up the help menu. copy and paste

I’m confused already. I’m not 100% sure what you want to know. I beleive you would use remote dektop? Go to control panel- network and internet connections- then on the side, click remote dektop. If this isn’t what you wanted, i’m sorry, but this is what i got out of it. Try to be more clear next time.

look into ur sisters laptop,right click on wifi icon, go into properties and setup a password,so that only u and ur sis will b able to access files between each other, on a common network amongst many other comps,coz only u and ur sis will b the ones with the password(keep a long and difficult password).
